Ed Scholz Honour Rules
If a character is in the overlap they
gain only hat the higher level but they only lose at the lower of the
two levels ( so penalties are less, but rewards are also less) If the
overlap is recent they maintain what ever level they previous had (so
level one to two is considered one, but level 2 to one is considered
level two) till the end of the year, unless they move from the overlap of
course.
Characters can only to the maximum
of the next higher honour reward and the minimum of the next lower
reward on a single adventure/season. Example a character with 0 honour can not gain more than 30 honour points in a single adventure as honour 31 would move him to level 3 honour. Likewise a character with 31 honour could not lose more than 20 honour in a single adventure - the dishonor is just not believed in this case. The exception is that the two highest penalties are always acccounted for. So treason which for Glantri school members is -30 (-15 for all others) and say t

Dfraft Training points Repeat Compliation
Graduating
By Ed Scholz
Obviously the majority of students do not complete their studies from class to Great School. The majority take a few years off to gain honour and wealth on their quest to become nobels. Some find enough wealth and luxury that political rights are no longer important to them . . . it is rare for a student to gain much more than a few levels in Magic user unless they come from a wealthy already or very talented.
Even those who get into the Great School only a handful of members join the right clubs and societies to truly make it.
10 points = stay in school min, standing drops 1d6 if term ends lower than this, all scholarship are cancelled. Player may continue if standing and wealth are high enough.
12= level 1 min
20 = good standing level 1
25 = level 2
30 = level 3 (level 2 good standing+ possible)
40 = level 4 (level 3 good standing+possible)
45 - level 4 good standing
Levels of standing: Perfect Marks..Superb, Excellent, Good (if has scholarship, continues), probation (any loss of honour ta the end of month needs a honour check or suspended) Suspended - the remaining term student id kicked out and needs to prove themselves by gaining honour/wealth, may take honour check at 1d6 cost to gain enterence at last level, Expelled - kicked out of school, needs money and honour check and chance to know to gain enterence again (though if test is failed the enternec exam is only 100 gold ducts)
Almost black balled ( same as expelled) and finally Black Balled is the last standing, where a character is not allowed in the school every again.
50 Great School in good standing
Note scholarships end at age 16 to age 20 (honour check every term to see it ends, after which the 450 gold ducats much be paid every term, or 5 gold ducts a day)
End of semester. If yo have less honour than your grade in good standing, you need no roll.
If you are less than your class in good standing but enough to be in the grade you can
A) pay 450 gold ducets till the end of next symmetry and be demoted a class.
B) if unable to pay or unwilling, one can take a test, and test ones hour (and a bonus of 10 glory_ at the cost of 1d6 honour. Roll honour on percent or chance to know., if succeed one is given another chance at one level down if honour was used, and at the same level if chance to know was used and improve ones standing by one.
Failure puts the student on probation.
C) If less hour than the minimum be put on probation honour % every month or be downgraded in levels til ;level 1 is reached.
D) At the end of the term, those on probation can not take a test to raise their status, but must instead take a test to say in or be expelled.
Being promoted. At the end of term you can attempt to promote, by taking a test for the next level.You do not need the minimum but if you do you gain a +20% bonus to the right rolls And you must be in good standing at the time of the test
The right to take the test,to ask for one costs 1-6 Honor points, and is Level+Honor+Charisma % roll. If failed, the character is not deemed ready to take his test yet. Try next term.
If successful the character can do one of two things, try to gain a scholarship or go up a grade. For scholarships the same as going up a grade except their is a -25% chance and to fail loses 1d6 honour points. In either case the character speeds a month, and makes a chance to know roll +10% a caster level (with a bonus if specialized, and again if in good standing, plus other possible bonuses, cheating, skills, help etc.) If they make the roll. They can get special help at the cost of 5 honour for a +6% chance as well. If they fail, the lose 1d10 honour and 1d10 sanity.
Successful scholarships pay for the term, and raise the standing up by one. If one already has a scholarship an extra term is added and standing is raised by two.
If the go for a really hard scholarship they can 1/2 their chances but gain +2-7 honour (for ability vs pity scholarship.)
As all players start in grade 1, it takes 4 promotions to get to the Great School. IT is possible
Any roll of 00 has standing drop by 1d6 levels (which may lead to graduation or explanation depending if a 00 is other wise a susccs). 01 has standing rise 1d6 levels.
